In this lesson activity students collect data on reaction time using either a ruler dropping experiment or one of four interactive applications that test reaction speed on the computer. Students then determine the median of their trials and graph their results on a scatterplot. The data can then be analyzed for students to determine: "How does my reaction time compare to other students?" A student worksheet is included (pdf format) and links to four reaction time tests are provided. | Activity, Lesson Plans Grade Level: 4, 5 | |
