This interactive Flash game helps students develop strategic thinking and number sense while practicing basic operations. It is based on the word game Hangman, but uses digits and operations instead of words. Players are presented with an equation missing most of its digits. They try to complete the blanks by guessing the missing digits (0 - 9) before making four incorrect guesses and thereby releasing the catapult. Difficulty increases over four rounds of equations.

    • This game is rather fun, with our poor rabbit launched in a catapult if we don't complete the equations correctly. The score keeping provided should help discourage wild guessing, and then the reasoning should take over.
