Circles and Pi

This unit of instruction intended for K-8 teachers explores the measures circumference and area of a circle. Learners are given interactive tasks that develop the concept of pi and the rationales for and the applications of the formulas. The unit ends with a practical problem set. Video instruction, hints, and solutions for the exercises are available. Teacher notes are provided.
