This 4-minute video shows students three ways to conceptualize and calculate a fraction of a group, e.g., 3/4 of 20. First, with pictures, students see how to find 3 groups of 1/4 of 20. Next, the student is presented with two choices using the algorithm for (a/b)*(n/1), that is, dividing first and then multiplying, or multiplying first.
